I am 48 years old. I have had dental issues all my life from a very young age. My experience includes several fillings, crowns, root canals, re-root canals, one post implant, and a full implant. To make matters worse, my teeth were worn down. I happen to be a platinum medalist in grinding through tooth enamel and dentin. 🙂
Five months ago, I was in pain from the worst abscess I had ever experienced and I have been through my fair share of them. I went to McKinney Dentists for help. Three teeth showed abscesses in the x-rays. After options were laid out for treatment by you and your team, we went home to carefully consider how to move forward.
Everyone with Mckinney Dentists were supportive and helpful with our questions and we had a lot of them. We scheduled a second consultation within a day and y’all made time for us. Should I keep fighting tooth fires for thousands of dollars at a time for years to come, or do I fix the issue once and for all with full teeth extraction and bridge implants?
My gums were beginning to bleed every time I brushed my teeth. I was fighting abscesses from time to time from my twenties to my forties. The crowns which were put in were matched to the height of my previously grinded down teeth. Now, my root canal/ crowned teeth were even starting to abscess.
After thoughtful consideration, my wife and I chose to do Teeth Tomorrow full bridge implants. It was a VERY tough decision. The thought of full teeth extraction was overwhelming for me as I am sure it is for most people. Dentists I have known throughout my experience would tell you to never extract a tooth that can be saved! However, there were reasons for that years ago. Dental technology has definitely changed.
I had surgery November 7th, 2018 for Prettau bridge implants (Teeth Tomorrow). You and your team have treated me and my family like we were family from day one. The process from temporaries to the final Prettau teeth was five months for me. I actually looked forward to seeing the staff every single visit.
Two weeks ago, I received my permanent Prettau Teeth. It is virtually impossible to tell the difference between natural teeth and these amazing teeth. It is unbelievable. My gums have never been healthier in my life starting from about two weeks after surgery. These bridges are non-porous, resists stains and bacteria. They are AMAZING!
I have been to many dentists throughout my years. Many! Listen to me when I say that McKinney Dentists have something to offer that is unique over anything I have ever experienced. Dr. Markham performed a root canal on me years ago after I had arrived from working a 12 hour night shift. I fell asleep during the procedure. He laughed and was great. He liked my watch and he had a cool watch too. 🙂 Dr. Berlin saw me years before that on a consultation about a root canal I had received from another dentist. He was an awesome, kind, funny, down to earth guy. (BTW, his teeth are awesome). I then met Dr. Madden when I had my final abscess(es) with my old, tired, now retired teeth. He was so kind and professional. Y’all are all amazing. Dr. Madden is now my daughter’s dentist and I wouldn’t have chose anyone else.
Finally, your team!! Bevin was the first to come in and let me know about Teeth Tomorrow as I endured the pain of abscess with Advil, Tylenol, Clove oil, and Orajel. We were overwhelmed by the thought as I have mentioned earlier with full teeth extraction. My wife and I agree, Bevin beams with sincerity, kindness, honesty, and professionalism. McKinney Dentists are blessed to have her. Jennifer (BA), Toni (I joke and call her the torturer) share the same characteristics. What a blessing to go through an experience like this with such amazing, caring people.
Jeff, you answered all of our questions and were the final say in our decision. You told me you would tell your brother the same if he was in my situation. As a fellow Christian, you are my BROTHER - so thank you. You made me feel comfortable showing me you are down to Earth over and over again. You cracked me up greeting me on the day of surgery wearing red shorts when I was nervous fixing to go under. BTW: I heard you keep it 64 degrees and use a portable fan in the OR. LOL. I don’t remember the anesthesiologist much. He didn’t warn me right before I went NIGHT NIGHT. But I do remember him talking about Cabalas and Church. Obviously, he is awesome too.
God Bless you and your staff for everything you do for making patients feel like family. It feels sad for some reason since I will not see you guys for the next 18 months! However, my daughter is due for an appointment for a root canal at age 13. I will find you all and thank you again.
