Mini implant placement is a simple procedure will lock in your denture, eliminating the need for denture adhesive. Once secured, your mini-implant-supported dentures will allow you to eat, talk, and smile without worrying about a slippery prosthetic.
Unlike traditional implants that surgery and stitches, with a 4 to 6-month recovery time, mini implants can be placed in about an hour or two, with no cutting or stitches. You could visit us in the morning, and enjoy your favorite lunch the same day!
The MDI System consists of a mini titanium implant that acts like the root of your tooth. Your denture will be fitted with holding caps that connect to the implants. The top of the mini implants are shaped like balls, and the holding caps like sockets with rubber O-rings. The O-rings snap over the balls when the denture is seated. The result: a denture that stays put when you eat, smile, and talk, with no messy, sticky denture glue!
This solution also works for patients with medical conditions that prevent them from undergoing a more invasive surgery. They are also well suited for small, narrow jaws that won't accommodate regular implants. Mini implants are also less expensive than traditional dental implants.
